Mozilla was the official, public, original name of Mozilla Application Suite by the Mozilla Foundation, currently known as SeaMonkey suite. In informal use it has been used in a number of ways and in combination with other phrases, though all of them have been related to the now-defunct Netscape Communications Corporation and its related application software.
Microsoft Urges Users to Change Browser
After a recent serious vulnerability was discovered in Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft have been urging users to change browser. Some publications have stated that Microsoft recommended Mozilla Firefox and have been quoted as recommending it over their own Internet Explorer web browser.

Mozilla Firefox (abbreviated officially as Fx, but also unofficially as FF) is a web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite, managed by the Mozilla Corporation. It has been named as the best web browser annually since 2005 by PC Magazine. Firefox had 17.83% of the recorded usage share of Web browsers as of March 2008, making it the second-most popular browser in current use worldwide after Internet Explorer.
